A competitive metric measuring your brand's proportion of AI mentions relative to competitors. Shows how much of the AI recommendation landscape your brand owns.

What is AI Share of Voice?

AI share of voice measures your brand's proportion of total mentions across AI platforms compared to competitors. If AI mentions 5 brands in your category and yours appears in 30% of all mention instances, your share of voice is 30%.

How it differs from traditional share of voice

Traditional share of voice measures presence in advertising, media, or social conversations. AI share of voice specifically measures presence in AI-generated recommendations - a distinct channel with different dynamics and growing influence.

Why it matters

Your AI visibility score gains context through share of voice. A 40% visibility score means different things depending on whether your top competitor has 20% or 80%. Share of voice reveals competitive positioning, shows who's gaining or losing, and identifies market gaps where no brand dominates.
